The Strand Street Frederiksted Revitalization Project is nearly completed, with the finishing of the pier's buildings and landscaping being the last items of Phase I. Phase II which is the rebuilding of the Frederiksted Paul E. Joseph Ballpark has been put on hold until 2007.

This project was built to enhance the waterfront scene for cruise ship passengers and for locals to enjoy, as well.

These girls were out for a stroll on the new pier.

	Directly on the pier are new visitor's buildings, walkways and palm-lined parking spaces, nearing completion.

	Strand Street was also redone - the lower part in cobblestone, with parking spaces well defined but reduced in number. A sidewalk promenade was added to the building side of the street.
