The St. Croix Animal Shelter Clambake took place at Elizabeth's at the Palms at Pelican Cove this year once again. The day was punctuated by food and entertainment from all over the island, including corn from a local organic farm.

	We wasted no time getting in line for our dinners.

	There were clams, shrimp, hamburgers and hotdogs, chicken and salads. And lots more for dessert.

	As clambakers ate, school groups sang and music was played as entertainment.

	Meeting old friends and sharing a meal for the sake of animals. The raffle began after that. Many, many prizes were raffled; trips, hotel stays, restaurant meals, gift certificates, etc.

	The cast of "Ain't Misbehavin'" belted out a few numbers as a preview of their upcoming show at Caribbean Community Theatre.

	The entertainment continued with a young dancer bringing us her interpretation of modern dance.

	And then we were treated to a dance by a group of young ladies. The moves were coreographed by one of the dancers.
