| The 2006 Boat Parade took place in the Christiansted Harbor with a record crowd in attendance. The Gentlemen of Jones performed with Quiet Fire to bring the joy of Christmas Carols to the ears of all who attended. Fireworks complements of HOVENSA rounded out the evening. | |

Earlier in the evening, before the fall of night, a clown entertained the children on the boardwalk. He was fantastic. Others visited the various restaurants and hangouts along the boardwalk in anticipation. |

As the crowd enjoyed the balmy afternoon, the boats began to assemble. Soon after, the sky darkened - night falls quickly on St. Croix during the "winter" months. |

|
And then it began, the hauntingly beautiful parade of floating lights. |

And then the Caroling began. Christmas favorites were sung by the Gentlemen of Jones accompanied by the band Quiet Fire. |

Strand Street Christiansted and King Street - the main drag - were lit up with cheerful and tasteful lights, making the streets seem like part of Santa's North Pole. |

The fireworks display as seen from King Street next to Government House, could also be seen from Company Street, the Waterfront and the Fort. |
