Recently, we took a drive out to the East End via the South Shore Road and took pictures of what we saw on the way. It was a very relaxing day with the road ahead and nature all around us.

	Looking back toward the West. The sun created a silver sheen on the sea.

	Lots of open road. At the time of the photos, the rains had been falling steadily on the East End and the hills became greener than we had seen them in a long time. The Ginger Thomas thankful for the rain was in bloom all over the hills.

	On the seaside is the Divi Carina Bay Resort.

	We're on our way to the Easternmost Point of the United States. Where The American Morning Begins. (Bet you didn't know it was on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.)We pass the Radio Observatory on the way.

	On the way out to Pt. Udall, the cactus is also in bloom.

	After going around the final bend, we come upon the monument - a stone sunburst - representing the beginning of the day. At the lookout, one views sea and sky together with no interruption. The ocean air at this location is very pure due to the constant sea spray.

	This is Tranquility.

	Headed back to the West, the difference between light and shadow is dramatic.

	Buck Island Preserve comes into view.

	On the hillside Cacti and Lillies hang onto the windblown bluff.

	Heading back to the West, we are now on the North side of the island on East End Road in the Southshore area.

	As we head West, a turn in at The Buccaneer Hotel in Estate Shoys gives us a view of the area and a Western view of Buck Island.
